Richard Mastrocola, known as Rick, has been an integral part of Tonneson since its inception. As the CEO, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role, continuously applying a forward-thinking and strategic mindset to guide the firm and its clients. With expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financing, succession planning, and more, Rick provides valuable guidance to businesses across industries. Rick joined the firm in 1975.
Rick’s areas of specialization include Audit Readiness, Advisory Services, High Net Worth, Individual and Family Office, International Tax, Matrimonial Litigation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Dispute Resolution, Succession Planning, Tax Planning and Consulting, and Trusts and Estates. He particularly focuses on closely held businesses in sectors such as manufacturing, distribution and logistics, construction, professional services, medical devices, and retail and restaurants.
As a CPA, he holds an MS in taxation from Bentley University and a BS in business administration from Salem State University, Rick is dedicated to providing the highest level of expertise to clients. He actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MassCPAs).
