“I am proud to have signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion Pledge. tonneson + co has a strong commitment to building a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive environment. We look forward to working with the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and with other firms to continue to drive diversity and inclusion in our profession,” said Richard Mastrocola, president and CEO of tonneson + co.
Amy Phelan, shareholder at tonneson +co, will serve as the firm’s Delegate to CEO Action. Last week, Mastrocola and Phelan attended a panel discussion on building inclusive leaders, hosted by PwC, as part of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Fierce Urgency of Now festival.
Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step towards effecting positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. A recent study found that 85 percent of those surveyed reported that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.
Individuals may also sign The I Act On Pledge, which is a personal pledge that any individual can take to help drive inclusive behavior in their everyday life.
