How Will You Make an Impact? Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate, you will:
- Prepare a wide range of complex tax returns, including individual, corporate (C-Corp, S-Corp), partnership, trust & estate, and other entity types, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and minimizing tax liabilities.
- Assist with foreign compliance filings, multi-state tax returns, and consolidated tax filings to meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide clients with tax planning services, preparing projections and estimates for both individuals and businesses, offering recommendations on how to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct federal and state tax research to address client inquiries, resolve complex tax issues, and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations.
- Provide timely, high-quality service, delivering tax returns and other client deliverables on schedule and exceeding client expectations.
- Contribute to practice development by staying up to date with industry trends, participating in networking activities, and building strong client relationships.
- Support business development efforts by attending networking events, client meetings, and company-sponsored functions.
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals, assisting in various tax projects and ensuring a smooth workflow during tax season and throughout the year.
- Take on special projects as assigned, enhancing your knowledge and experience in diverse areas of taxation.
How Will You Get Here? Qualifications
- Relevant internship or work experience in tax preparation or related areas is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Actively pursuing or planning to pursue the CPA designation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
- Desire to learn and grow in the tax profession and become a key contributor to the team.
