How Will You Make an Impact? Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will:
- Provide tax compliance and consulting services across multiple client engagements, managing projects from planning through completion while ensuring top-quality service.
- Prepare complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for a variety of business entities, including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Non-Profit Organizations, and Fiduciary returns.
- Prepare individual tax returns, including more complex U.S. and state income, gift tax, and estate tax filings.
- Conduct tax research and draft comprehensive memorandums summarizing your findings and conclusions for internal use and client reports.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals to provide seamless service and solutions to clients, working closely with managers and directors to deliver on complex tax projects.
- Prepare tax projections for individuals and businesses, including estimates for tax liabilities, and assist clients with tax planning strategies.
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and resolution of any client issues or questions.
- Support business development efforts by attending networking events, client meetings, and company-sponsored functions.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned, supporting firm-wide initiatives and client-specific needs.
How Will You Get Here? Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Tax Associate, with a strong foundation in tax compliance and consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Actively working toward the CPA designation, or equivalent.
- Strong client service skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and handle competing priorities effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tax preparation software.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
