How Will You Make an Impact? Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

As an Audit Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing audit engagements from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing assurance engagements by defining audit strategies in consultation with firm partners and executing them in compliance with firm policies and protocols.
  • Leading teams or parts of teams on engagements, including performing complex audit procedures as needed.
  • Overseeing the audit process, ensuring fieldwork is completed according to the schedule and with associate staff.
  • Providing strategic advice and identifying value-added opportunities for client growth and operational improvements.
  • Maintaining and developing long-term client relationships by understanding client needs and delivering outstanding service.
  • Monitoring engagement progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff by sharing knowledge, providing training, and fostering the development of technical competencies.
  • Conducting performance reviews and delivering timely feedback to ensure growth and development.
  • Supporting business development efforts by cultivating and managing opportunities and expanding the firm’s client base.
  • Participating in special projects, including advising clients on internal and operational controls, business financing, and more.
  • Maintaining strict client confidentiality and adhering to the highest professional standards.

How Will You Get Here? Qualifications

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, ACA/CA/ACCA, or an equivalent international qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience at the audit manager level or equivalent leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
  • Proven project management skills and experience leading successful audit engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards; experience with new accounting codification.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach to leadership, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of quality and risk management procedures, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in-office 2-3 days a week in a hybrid setting.
