How Will You Make an Impact? Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
As an Audit Associate, you will:
- Collaborate with clients to gain an understanding of their business, industry, and financial processes to help identify key risks and operational challenges.
- Work closely with audit engagement teams, learning and participating in the full scope of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for clients in a variety of industries.
- Perform testing of internal controls and assess risks, contributing to the evaluation of financial systems and operations.
- Identify and communicate accounting or reporting issues to managers and senior staff, ensuring high-quality client service and effective risk management.
- Prepare tax returns for client entities and assist with necessary tax documentation for business and individual filings.
- Organize and manage your work effectively to meet deadlines for client engagements, ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Support business development efforts by attending networking events, client meetings, and company-sponsored functions.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technologies, tools, and auditing processes to stay current with industry changes and regulations.
- Participate in firm-wide activities to enhance team collaboration and development, gaining exposure to senior-level professionals and opportunities for growth.
How Will You Get Here? Qualifications
- Relevant internship or work experience in auditing is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Actively pursuing or planning to pursue the CPA designation.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with ProSystem Fx products is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally.
